I am not an organized person. I might post about some organizational tools that works for me, but that is only because I get so excited when something does work. (Though I must confess probably my biggest problem is laziness.)
Do you have a drawer that looks like this? This is in our kitchen island. I call it our utensil drawer. I really use a lot of this stuff, but too much of it is hard to find!
Rubbermaid had some great suggestions for using their junk drawer organizer. The following are what I found most helpful.
You can even check out Rubbermaid's tips and solutions for organizing a junk drawer. To be honest with you, I really enjoy Rubbermaid's blog (and read it before this review).
Here's the best part! You can win a 6 piece, non-slip interlocking drawer organizer from Rubbermaid!

Rubbermaid had some great suggestions for using their junk drawer organizer. The following are what I found most helpful.
- Set aside an hour. (I actually didn't use that much time.)
- Remove contents of the drawer and place on an open spot. (If you are like me, first you have to find/make an open spot on the counter.)
- Put each item in one of four piles. KEEP, GARBAGE, BELONGS SOMEWHERE ELSE, GIVE AWAY.
- Containerize the items!

My drawer is a nightmare and I've organized it over and over again without any luck. Maybe these organizers could be just the thing I need!

My favorite product is Rubbermaid's collapsible storage containers. I use them everyday for my hubby's lunch and any leftovers that need to go into the fridge. I LOVE how little space they take up AND that their lid can be stuck to them while collapsed so it doesn't get lost. I haven't seen them around, I hope they're still available because they are GREAT!
It's so funny that you would post this-I was just cleaning out my junk drawer yesterday and it still doesn't look as good as yours! kmmiller4@gmail.com

Your after shot looks great! I need this for my drawers. Not sure which one but they all look bad.
I follow you of course!
Normally a few of my kitchen drawers look like this but since I have only 2 tiny ones in this rental house they aren't bad. They are so small that not much fits in them. Your organized one looks great!
My step sis graduated from Penn State yrs ago. I still have a football jersey she had given my brother for a gift. I inherited it after he grew out of it. For some reason I could never get rid of it.
I would have to say my Fav. Rubbermaid product is the good old tote. I have a ton of them. Big, small. I organize toys, holidays, clothes, etc in them.
Your after picture sure does look better than my "now" picture!
Awesome! Your after picture definitely looks better than my drawers!! I'm on a organizing mission so this would be perfect :)
I follow your blog :)
My drawers are terrible....really, really terrible. Thanks for letting me know about the giveaway.
I have a drawer that is really deep and everything gets lost in it. Yours looks nice.

one tip. Over the door organizer creates space By using the unused space behind a door, this organizer creates storage space you hadn’t thought of using.
Nice to have would be an adjustable over the door organizer.
