Handmade Jesse Tree

Finally!  I did it!!  With a few hours to spare, my Jesse Tree is complete!  (Left-click on any image to view it larger, as always.)

This Jesse Tree has two-sided ornaments to tell the lineage of Jesus.

Isaiah 11:1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
   from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

Please read more about how I made this homemade Jesse Tree with a printable and directions!

Super cute! Looks like a lot of hard work, but I'm sure it will be totally worth it as you use the tree this month.

You did a great job! How nice that you found such great materials already on hand!

I had to laugh about the q-tip!

My husband banned glitter too, but every once in a while, we use it in the play room craft area - maybe three times a year. Then I vacuum like crazy and hope I can get it all!!!!!!!!

We stick with just glitter glue.

Okay, I'm curious to know the changes you made because I've been wanting to stick to the storybook Bible as much as possible too.

Annette - your tree is unbelievably beautiful! I just love it, and loved reading about how you made it. You are one crafty lady! :) I really love the ric-rac and buttons - just the right amount of embellishment, and I think your ornaments turned out great. It makes me so happy to see others using the Jesse Tree before Christmas, it is such a helpf for getting into the real spirit of the season. :) Great job!

Oh, I love this so much!! It's so much nicer than my lopsided tree -- but hey, you've got to start somewhere, right? Thanks for linking up too! I don't feel like such a loser now! ;-)

Such a unique Jesse Tree! I'm going to start a Jesse tree link up post (tomorrow morning), did you want to link up? :)

This is so pretty and a wonderful way to remember the true meaning of Christmas. I love all of the details.
