Lucy Maud Montgomery Challenge 2011

L. M. Montgomery Reading Challenge
Like last year, I intend to participate in the Lucy Maud Montgomery challenge during the month of January!  It takes place over at Reading to Know.

The Complete Anne of Green Gables Boxed Set (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne's House of Dreams, ... Rainbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside)I just love the Anne of Green Gables series.  This year I plan to listen to the first book in the series-my favorite-Anne of Green Gables.  I don't know if I will read (or listen to) any of the others in that series this month.
Lucy Maud and the Cavendish Cat
However, if it arrives in time, I will be reading Lucy Maud and the Cavendish Cat.  I ordered it from Amazon after Christmas, and can't wait for its arrival.  However, it's due to arrive anywhere between January 6 and January 24th.  I have only read one other book of LMM's other than the Anne books, so I'm am quite excited...and it will be my own book, like my Anne set!

It's been years since I've seen the Anne videos.  I was hoping to get Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables-The Sequel, but since that didn't happen, I might try to borrow from our library.  The problem with that is trying to return them after just three days!

Last year I read Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Windy Poplars.  (Linked to my reviews.)  I just loved Anne's House of Dreams!

If you want a great reason to read an Anne (or any LMM) book, watch a movie, or listen to any work by Lucy Maud Montgomery, head on over to the Lucy Maud Montgomery Reading Challenge!  Others will be sharing their plans of LMM reading, and their reviews.  Soon I will share my thoughts, too!

Even if the book doesn't arrive until the 24th, I'm certain you will have PLENTY of time to read it. =) I'm so glad that you picked that up. It's an awesome one to highlight during the challenge! I was so tickled when you mentioned it to me.

(I sound funny saying "really tickled." Ah well.)

Happy reading! =) And thanks for playing with me! ;D

Lucy Maud and the Cavendish Cat sounds like a really good book. I recently read a short biography on L.M. Montgomery; it sounds as though she had a very interesting life, to say the least.

Happy Reading!

The audio book is a really good idea!!! I've found a couple of free classic audio sites recently, so I'll have to see if they have Anne of Green Gables, since that's the one I want to read the most.
I may get to join in anyway! :)

I had forgotten about the picture book! I should look that up and share it with my girls!

Audiobooks are a great idea, too. I should listen to more myself instead of just getting them for my children!
