It offers insight into colonial life in Annapolis when it was our country's capitol, and how snow nearly destroyed our independence as a country. The reader meets some of our founding fathers, though they are not main characters and Tories, too. All of this fabulous history is interwoven through a not-your-standard-romance by Roseanna White. I definitely recommend it.

I'd love to read this one, mostly because Roseanna is such a respected writer! I hate that I haven't already read Jewel of Persia, but since you picked it for the book club, Lord willing, I'll definitely get to it.
